Halloween Planner Haul

If you don’t know October is my absolute favorite month (aren’t you surprised?). And I go all out for Halloween in my planner, just like in the rest of my life. I’m so happy that October has started that I wanted to share with you what spreads I have planned, so here’s my Halloween Haul.

il_570xn_1093125687_hp52The first spread I’m using is this kit from PrintyInPink. What drove me to this kit was that it seemed to be a perfect in between from a unicorn kit into a spooky scary kit. I absolutely am in love with it, and the spread turned out really nice.

Although I’ll be doing a full review on the shop, right now I will honestly say that the only downfall is that they don’t have a ton available. I hope to see more from them soon and can’t wait to see what they come up with.

il_570xn_1029034064_8adsThe second kit that I picked up was this one from StickToThePlans. I haven’t used this kit yet, but I’m really excited to in the near future. It has a lot of functional and decorative things in it, so I hope that it will make a really nice spread to work with. It’s a very nice traditional black and orange Halloween kit, which I’m always game for. I also love that there are decorative half boxes, which I kind of like even though they look like they may be a challenge to use. This shop looks like it has a lot of affordable printables so I can’t wait to pick up a few more and try them out.

il_570xn_1073492925_nj3eThe last kit I’ve bought right now is from AndreaNicolePrintsCo, and is her Nightmare Before Christmas Kit. I’m going to be honest because this isn’t my ideal Nightmare Before Christmas set, but I also wasn’t planning on paying an arm and a leg to get what I really wanted (that and it was from Germany and wouldn’t get here in time). I do have high hopes for this kit, though and I hope that the spread turns out well.

What is your favorite kit that you’ll be using this October? Any suggestions on kits you’ve found that I could use the week of Halloween? I’m still looking for that perfect one, so leave ideas in the comments.

See you soon,

~Amanda

End of July Start of August

So it’s about mid-month so it’s pry a good time to let you guys know where my monthly spread is at.

Each of these spreads are from the lovely LaceandLogos on etsy.

So first off I want to talk about my June spread. For some reason I ended up not really using it and it was just a really busy moth so plans were always changing. I never really wanted to write anything down in this part so I never really did. I liked the spread overall, though, and this was the month where I really started to want to use my monthly spreads a little more and use these monthly kits to the fullest.

Erin Condren Release Thoughts

I’m going to start this off with the fact that I didn’t order from the release yet. My mom and I wait until later in the year to do so and then we get our planners for Christmas from my grandparents.

At this point, though I’ve seen enough videos where I feel like I’m able to put my two cents into what happened during the release. So let’s get into it with the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Reusing Printables

One of my favorite things about printables is that you can print off as many copies as you want. I love it when I’m planning with a small kit, but what about reusing kits?

My thoughts are that you can reuse kits and do it quite well, and this is how I do it.

I am a student, which makes it a little easier. During the summer I’m able to reuse kits because I’m doing something different than I am in school. Instead of having to track school work and meetings I’m able to track more to do lists and habits that I want to keep track of. I also am able to keep better track of what I’m doing that day.

I also like to reuse kits as a base for stickers that I buy in the store that would go along with the theme. I have a spread set where I’m using it two weeks in a row, but it’s different because I bought different decorative stickers while I was at the store. Doing this allows you to create different spreads with different decorations, but also allows you to get a larger return on your investment.

I also will just straight up use the same kit and just make about the same spread if I loved the kit and spread that much. It happens every now and then. Especially with large kits it’s easier because sometimes I don’t use half of the decoration stickers so I can create basically a different spread.

I love to reuse kits to save money, but I hate waiting an entire year to reuse them.

Plan With Me: Slytherin

So picking out what spread to do this week was a no brained, because of Tiffany’s birthday.

Tiffany is Kurtz older sister who is one of the loveliest people I have the pleasure of knowing. She is also a huge Harry Potter fan and a proud member of the Slytherin house.

I got this kit off of Etsy a few weeks ago. It’s by lepaperhouse and cost $3.

To use it I did have to mix in a hydration tracker, icons, and my habit trackers but overall it was a good spread. I wish it had a few more half boxes but it was a great kit to work with.

In the near future you will pry see more of this shop be cause I can’t get over her icons.

What do your planners look like this week?

See you soon,

Planner Decorator Review

Planner Decorator A few weeks ago I stumbled across Planner Decorator on Etsy. I bought two kits and after using them I want to bring you this review.

Overall I thought that the product was worth the money.

For $4 you get two sheets with functional, decorator, and icon stickers.

This is another pintables shop so you get a digital PDF file that you can print off at home as many times as you want.

I have to admit that they layout on the pages aren’t very friendly  because you can’t just use a paper cutter and cut the majority of them out. Many of them you have to go in by hand, which can lead to some frustration.

Is it worth it though?

YES!

I loved these stickers and can’t wait to use more of them in the next few weeks. Each kit is well thought out with what you need and the cutting issue, although relevant, doesn’t really bother me.
