A New System?

Hello everyone,

If you’re like me you didn’t quite realize the new planner that has been making an uproar on social media. (Until, ya know, one of your favorite YouTube’s made a video about it.)

Bullet Journals are huge now, and I honestly can’t believe the following that I found with it. Since watching this video about ADD and the Bullet Journal I decided to try it out for myself, and I’ve found that it actually is very helpful in my day to day life.

So what does this mean? Am I moving out of my Erin Condren? Is the hundreds of dollars I’ve spent on printables a lie?

No. Trust me, I had that breakdown and none of that is going away. All of that will still be a thing in the future and I promise that I will still be a loyal customer to Erin Condren. My first planner love will not be going away nor will I turn my back on it in the near future. What that does mean is that in the near future I will be making changes to my planner in order to better accommodate using a bullet journal.

So what’s going on?

Well, for right now I’m using both my Erin Condren and my Bullet Journal, which is helping a lot and is very useful to me. I love it because I’m able to compare the two side by side, still have fun planning, and I’m able to try out Bullet Journal layouts until I find one that’s right for me. This way I’m not missing or losing anything and I have time to perfect my system before the new year begins.

So what does this mean for you in the future?

Well, let’s look ahead to January first. Starting that day I will be using my bullet journal and my EC. My bullet journal will be much messier and much more detailed, and it will be where I really plan my week and get into the nitty-gritty about what I’m doing. My Erin Condren will become much more of a memory keeping journal. I’ll still have my homework for the week, what I did in the day, but I will be investing in a Polaroid Zip to add in a picture of everyday. You’ll be able to see all of these pictures on my Instagram, because I’ll be posting at least once a day.

So now we will have another step to take and even more to plan during the week. I’ll also be able to write more about planners and talk about different spreads that I use.

If you have any good bullet journal resources leave them down below in the comments to not only help me out, but help out your fellow readers.

See you soon,

Amanda

I use my bullet journal and EC planner the same way! I have a lot of bullet journal inspirations attached to my pinterest (katyslifestory) on a Planner Addict board. I also follow some bullet journal girls on Instagram – thehoneybshop (who sells EC stickers, but also has some gorgeous bullet journal layouts).
